* Canons DIGIC I above (eg, 300D) are not compatible. In addition, DIGIC II for cameras and even some DIGIC III cameras, Canon has declared them “not compatible” with its software development kit. Most continue working, but it is unclear whether this will change in the future and this significantly interacts with the operating system you are using (for example, if not all DIGIC II are not compatible with Windows 7/8 and capture others have problems in OS X 10.8.5 and higher). This is not something you can control and, if you are considering buying, download the fully functional to make sure everything works properly before making the purchase demonstration.
** The Orion StarShoot II, Pro and other current “deep space” are not supported directly, but are supported through their ASCOM drivers. Their cameras “solar system” can work (since they are similar to web cameras), but note that Nebulosity is designed for deep space photography.
