Fission’s revamped interface makes it easier and more pleasant to use than ever.
It’s now possible to open multiple audio files at once, in multiple windows.
Fission now has full editing support for FLAC and WAV files. MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC, AIFF, and WAV are now all supported for editing in Fission.
In addition to being saved losslessly in their original format, it’s also possible to Export audio files to another format. MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC, AIFF, and WAV are all supported for exporting.

Critical Bug Fix: We’ve fixed a (thankfully) rare bug where ringtone saving or publishing to SoundCloud would cause data in the ~/Public folder to be incorrectly deleted.
Enhancement: Waveform display has been sped up, and its memory footprint has been reduced.
Enhancement: Fission can now handle damaged or fragmented MP4 files better than ever.
Enhancement: Fission’s MP3 encoder (LAME) has been updated to version 3.100 and its FLAC encoder has been updated to version 1.3.2.
Enhancement: Myriad improvements to tags have been made. JPEGs are no longer incorrectly converted to PNG, and Fission now offers better handling Vorbis comments and QuickTime files with tags.
Bug Fix: The Batch Converter now works as expected when in trial mode.
Other: The License window has been updated and improved.

Critical Bug Fix: A hang which could occur when adding files together in Fission has been corrected.
Enhancement: Improved bitrate calculations now enable improved joining of some AAC compressed files, for better audio quality.
Bug Fix: To workaround a QuickLook and QuickTime Player bug which could prevent chapterized files from playing as expected, Fission now converts progressive JPEG images to baseline JPEG.
Bug Fix: The “Select Previous Clip” and “Select Next Clip” buttons now display properly, with no ironic clipping of the text itself.
Bug Fix: Ringtone saving no longer incorrectly overwrites an existing ringtone when saving a second time with the same name.
Other: Fission now has compatibility with MacOS 10.14 (Mojave).
